Having been a member of Hill Barn Golf Club for approximately 10 years I have seen many welcome improvements since the club changed from municipal to private ownership. These include much needed updates to the clubhouse and changing rooms and a vast improvement in the condition of the course itself.

Since joining I have particularly enjoyed the style of the course and especially the spectacular scenery, which never fails to cheer me up even when my golf is not going too well!

The main reason I have stayed loyal to Hill Barn, in spite of being surrounded by quite a few courses within a comfortable radius of home, is the friendliness of our club members. The Ladies Section, although relatively small is a great section to belong to, with competitions on both Tuesdays and Saturdays every week throughout the year as well as friendly matches, mixed matches, national and county competitions and many different fun competitions – in other words, something for everyone.

Because of the camaraderie not only within the Ladies Section but with the men, seniors and juniors I have been more than happy to accept a second term as Lady Captain for this year as I know everyone looks forward to whatever is going on at the club each week.
